Charleston

Charleston, which seems to be part of Coos Bay, is just down the road from our campground. It’s a friendly, casual little area known for its seafood offerings. We had lunch at the Portside Restaurant, stopped by Chuck’s Seafood for some more fresh oysters and finally hit the Old General Store for a few sundry items.

Encounter with a Great White Egret

I took a walk on the beach this morning. The weather was great, and I came upon a Great White Egret. I had no time to get out my iphone so I just used my Ray Ban Metas, which I was using to listen to music. I had to enlarge and crop the video considerably.

Coos Bay Oysters

We stopped in Charleston at Chuck’s Seafood on the way back from Shore Acres and got a couple dozen oysters for dinner. Rose steamed them and may a lemon butter sauce, and I had my sriracha sauce.
